3rd August 2008 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 20-10 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 17ºC Sea Temperature: 15ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: I missed out on what looked like a great day on Saturday as I was busy supervising Morgan at a 3yr old birthday party. Worst part of that was that it was on top of Constitution Hill so I could see and feel just how good the wind was the whole time!.. At least I got to have a bounce on a bouncy castle though! I was therefore quite pleased when there was some wind on Sunday. gusting to 25 knots and i hoped it was going to pick up during the day as it had done one Saturday. Went across to the beach with my kit at around 11am, wind didn't feel quite as strong as it had so rigged my 5.6m rather than my 5m. Waded into the water, lifted up the sail and then though 'hang on, there's no wind'. back up onto the pebbles, whitecaps had all disappeared. Sat around waiting for it to come back but it didn't. Not great! Went home to watch the Grand Prix... At least Lewis Hamilton and Fellipe Massa weren't having the greated luck either today.. although they got paid considerably more for their bad luck than I did! |
